Biography
EDUCATION:
Rep. Bailey holds a B.S. degree in psychology from the State University of New York. She is also a nationally recognized Certified Marketing Executive and Certified Hotel Administrator.
PROFESSIONAL INFORMATION:
Rep. Bailey runs her own management consulting and training firm. She is a member of both the National Speakers Association and the Northwest Speakers Association. A longtime professional in the hotel and hospitality industry, she has held the position of hotel general manager and worked in leadership positions for the Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association on regional, national and international levels.
PUBLIC SERVICE:
Prior to her first term as Representative from the 10th Legislative District, Rep. Bailey also served as a member on the Oak Harbor Comprehensive Planning Task Force, Island County 2% Lodging Tax Advisory Committee and the Island County Joint Committee on Tourism.

PERSONAL:
Rep. Bailey lives in Oak Harbor with her husband, Butch Bailey, who teaches NJROTC in the Burlington-Edison School System. Both are proud parents of their four children. Rep. Bailey’s eldest son is a former naval aviator and is now an aeronautical engineer; another son is a former JAG officer in the Army who now is an assistant U.S. Attorney. Rep. Bailey also has twin daughters; one owns and operates a private pre-school and the other is a respiratory therapist and trauma nurse. Rep. Bailey and her husband have nine grandchildren.
